The Abu Dhabi Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi is on TOMORROW, and these four possible finals will be absolute fire to watch!

-55kg Mayssa Bastos x Amal Amjahid

They have never faced each other before, but being both black belts now, a match-up between Mayssa Bastos and Amal Amjahid was bound to happen.

We know Mayssa is super skilled with her berimbolo-attacks, but Amal is pretty quick on her feet. This means whoever gets to impose her game first, is one step ahead in the game, and one step closer to victory.

One thing is sure; a possible final between these ladies will be fast and furious, so don’t blink!

-62kg Bianca Basílio x Tamiris Menezis

Bianca Basílio is always puts on a happy and dynamic show for the audience to watch. We expect nothing less of her this time!

A possible final could be a Brazil against Brazil match-up, in which Tamiris Menezis could be her opponent. Favoring the top position, we could see some toreando’s mixed with pressure-passing from Tamiris versus Bianca’s tricky guard!

-70kg Samantha Cook x Thamara Silva

Samantha and Thamara have been building a history, having fought each other multiple times with different outcomes.

Thamara has an agressive guard game with various attacks from the bottom, while Samantha’s passing often leads to backtakes. But if both ladies pull at the same time, it could also lead into a footlock-fight on the ground.

That being said, anything in this match can happen, so we can’t wait!

-90kg Gabrielli Pessanha x Nathiely de Jesus

What a match-up in the -90kg division!

The first encounter between Gabrielli Pessanha and Nathiely de Jesus is still fresh in our memory; with only 14 seconds left on the clock, Gabrielli was able to score 2 points as Nathiely went for the guardpull at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam in LA, last September.

This time round, we expect Nathiely to be a 100% ready and prepared to turn the tide. Gabrielli however, is most likely ready for another gold to add to her Grand Slam run. Let’s see how it goes down tomorrow!
